NYC Votes, the voter education and engagement campaign of the New York City Campaign Finance Board, will travel to Albany on Tuesday, May 20 to champion legislation to modernize New York’s election system.
NYC Votes and its coalition of partners will attend a welcome luncheon, hosted by state Senators Michael Gianaris and Kevin Parker, Assemblymember Brian Kavanagh, and featuring a special performance by NYC Youth Poet Laureate Ramya Ramana.

NYC Votes and its partners will be meeting with legislators, urging them to modernize New York’s outdated election laws and revive our voting culture, throughout the day.
Partners include Generation Citizen, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Every Vote Counts, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Youth Civic Leadership Academy, University Student Senate -- CUNY, Alliance of South Asian American Labor, the NAACP (Brooklyn Branch), The New York City League of Women Voters, and the New York Public Interest Research Group
NYC Votes is the non-partisan voter engagement campaign of the New York City Campaign Finance Board (CFB) and its Voter Assistance Advisory Committee (VAAC). In addition to promoting voter registration, participation, and civic engagement in New York City through its many programs and partnerships, NYC Votes sponsors the city’s official Debate Program and produces the citywide Voter Guide.
