On June 28th, New Yorkers will have a second opportunity, in a historic election year, to shape the future of their communities by casting a ballot in the congressional primary election. The deadline to register to vote in that election is Friday, June 3rd. Voter registration forms must be completed and postmarked by that date.
Only voters enrolled in a political party may vote in the primary elections held by that particular party. Voters registering for the first time are eligible to vote in the primary if they enroll in that party. (For voters who were previously registered, the deadline to switch their party registration passed on October 9, 2015).

It is more important than ever for eligible New Yorkers to engage with the electoral process. Our democracy depends on participation, so plan to vote and encourage your friends and family to do the same.
