Last-minute voter? NYC Votes has you covered!

Thursday, October 30, 2014

Election Day is almost here, people! In a few days—Tuesday, Nov. 4—New Yorkers from every corner and in every neighborhood of this great city will walk into their polling places and mark their ballots to choose a governor, members of Congress, members of the state legislature, and state court judges. They will also vote on three important statewide ballot proposals on the back of the ballot (don’t forget to turn it over).

Don’t be left out. GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!

There’s really no excuse for not voting. Through our NYC Votes engagement campaign, the Campaign Finance Board has a full range of resources available for voters to get informed.

Don’t know who to vote for? The CFB Voter Guide can help you find out who’s on your ballot, and how to learn more about the candidates. We’ve got comprehensive information about the three proposals on the ballot, with reasons to vote ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ The Guide includes everything you need to know about voting in New York City: what to bring to the polls, how to use the machines, and everything in between. And it’s also all available in Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Bengali!

Did you wait until the last minute? Don’t know where to vote? Need information on-the-go? The CFB’s mobile web app, nycvotes.org, can help you find your polling place, and give you directions on how to get there. It has all the information you need about the candidates on the ballot and the text of the ballot proposals—all in the palm of your hand! Check nycvotes.org on your mobile phone on the way out the door, and be ready to vote by the time you get to the polls.

Polls are open Tuesday, November 4 from 6:00 in the morning, until 9:00 at night. The future of your state is in your hands—make your voice heard and cast your vote!
