Second #FilingDay of 2017
Council Members Vincent Gentile and Vincent Ignizio claimed the top spots in the 2017 small contributor count following strong reports in the second filing day of the election cycle. The Brooklyn and Staten Island candidates led all 38 candidates who filed disclosure statements.
Brooklyn’s Gentile led the pack, reporting contributions from 114 different NYC residents of $175 or less in this disclosure statement. Staten Island’s Ignizio reported collecting small contributions from 90 New Yorkers.
Melinda Katz, the small contributor leader from the first disclosure statement, dropped to third place. Council Member Costa Constantinides reported a strong 69 new small contributions to claim a tie for fourth place with Brad Lander, who was also on the leader board last time.
