At a regularly scheduled meeting today, the New York City Campaign Finance Board approved public funds payments totaling $368,400 to five candidates participating in the primary election in the 23rd Council District (Queens), which will be held on September 10. The Board also voted to ratify payments previously made by delegation for this election. Including the payments approved today, the Board has paid a grand total of $475,474 to participating candidates in this race.

Separately, the Board determined a number of enforcement matters for campaigns from the 2013 citywide elections. The Board determined that six campaigns committed violations and must pay penalties; three campaigns must repay public funds received; and, three campaigns will receive public funds payments. In addition, the Board voted to adopt final rules clarifying disclosure requirements for campaigns and eligibility for public funds.
