The CFB will post updates to its Twitter feed, @NYCCFB, as filings are received. You can easily search for updates with the hashtag #FilingDay.

All candidates and independent spenders file statements electronically. Candidates who need to submit backup documentation may do so electronically, in person, or by mail (as long as mailed submissions are postmarked by October 25). Information on the contribution and spending limits for the 2013 elections can be found here.

Candidates in the General Election must submit a pre-election disclosure statement within 24 hours to report the following:

  • Contributions or loans from the same contributor or lender totaling more than $1,000; or
  • Expenditures to the same vendor totaling more than $20,000.

During the same period, independent spenders are required to file disclosures of their activities within 24 hours of making an expenditure or receiving a contribution.

For any questions, please contact the CFB’s press office at (212) 306-7116.
