Candidates and Independent Spenders File Disclosures with Campaign Finance Board

December 2, 2013

As of 6 PM today, 101 candidates and 11 independent spenders in the 2013 citywide elections have filed required campaign finance disclosure statements with the Campaign Finance Board (CFB). By midnight, candidates in the general election are required to file disclosure statements detailing their campaigns’ financial activity from October 22, 2013 through November 28, 2013.

This is the last update for the day. Filings received after 6 PM will posted on the CFB website tomorrow, Tuesday, December 3.

Independent spenders must also file disclosure statements for the same period by midnight tonight. (Please note: independent spenders have already filed disclosures of expenditures made prior to Election Day.) This is the final disclosure for independent spenders in the 2013 elections.

The CFB will post updates to its Twitter feed, @NYCCFB, as filings are received. You can easily search for updates with the hashtag #FilingDay.

The following resources are available on the CFB’s website:

  • The CFB’s campaign finance summary page contains basic financial information for all candidates and independent spenders who file with the CFB. Users may compare candidate campaign spending and independent expenditures side-by-side.
  • The searchable database provides details about individual transactions reported by candidates and independent spenders. Results for independent spending searches include image, audio or video files of the communications reported.
  • The Candidate and Independent spending charts provide a race-by-race illustration of all the spending in the 2013 as reported by candidates and independent spenders.
