Candidates File Disclosures with the Campaign Finance Board

224 candidates and one independent spender in the 2013 citywide elections have filed required campaign finance disclosure statements with the Campaign Finance Board (CFB).  All candidates and independent spenders for city office are required to file disclosure statements by midnight, May 15.

May 15 is also the deadline to disclose independent expenditures made during the same period. Disclosure statements from independent spenders must be filed electronically and include itemized information about the expenditure.

The CFB will post updates to its Twitter feed, @NYCCFB, as filings are received. You can easily search for updates with the hashtag #FilingDay.

All candidates file their statements electronically. Candidates who need to submit backup documentation may do so electronically, in person, or by mail (as long as mailed submissions are postmarked by May 15). Information on the contribution and spending limits for the 2013 elections can be found here.

The next filing deadline for candidates and independent spenders in the 2013 elections is July 15, 2013.
