Candidates File Transition and Inauguration Disclosures

March 7, 2014

As of 5:30 p.m., 26 candidates filed disclosures for their transition and inauguration entities (TIEs) in the 2013 election cycle. Those candidates are:

The disclosure period covers activity from January 1 to February 28, 2014. The deadline for candidates to file TIE disclosures is midnight on Friday, March 7. Thirty-four candidates registered TIEs with the CFB for the 2013 election cycle.

Candidates may accept contributions to their TIEs according to these limits:

Office Contribution Limit
Mayor, Public Advocate, Comptroller $4,500
Borough President $3,500
City Council $2,500

The following resources are available on the CFB’s website:

  • The CFB’s campaign finance summary page contains basic financial information for all candidates who file with the CFB.
  • Users can select the 2013 Transition and Inauguration election cycle option in the searchable database to see more details about individual transactions reported by candidates for their TIEs.

For candidates who have closed their transition/inauguration entities and report a $0 balance, no further filings will be required. The next filing deadline for candidates who do not have a $0 balance will be May 7.
