Six candidates in the special election in Council District 28 (Queens) and 1 candidate in the general election in Council District 44 (Brooklyn) have filed required disclosure statements.
This is the second scheduled disclosure statement for candidates running in CD #28 and the third for CD #44. All candidates filing, including non-participants, are required by law to provide a detailed report of all financial activity for their campaigns covering dates between September 28, 2010 and October 18, 2010.

Candidates may deliver statements to the CFB, submit filings electronically, or send the materials by mail, as long as mailed submissions are postmarked by midnight, October 22.
During the fourteen days before the election, candidates must disclose to the CFB any contributions or loans larger than $1,000 and expenditures larger than $20,000 within twenty-four hours. Those disclosures can be found on the CFB website. The next disclosure filing for the November 2 elections is due Monday, November 29, and covers transactions conducted between October 19, 2010 and November 25, 2010.
