The New York City Campaign Finance Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 10, at 11:00 a.m. to review the new Charter requirements for individuals and entities making independent expenditures in New York City elections to make public disclosure. The hearings will be conducted at the offices of
OATH, Conference Room E, on the 6th Floor at 40 Rector Street in Lower Manhattan (between Washington and West Streets), New York, NY 10006.
The Campaign Finance Board will promulgate rules to administer the new Charter requirements. The Board has scheduled a public hearing to solicit input from those who may be impacted by the disclosure requirements. The Board will consider written and oral testimony from this hearing, as well as regulations from other jurisdictions, before issuing a draft of the rules. The draft rules will be subject to a period of public comment, and a second hearing.
Attendees are invited to address any issues of concern. Attached is a white paper outlining many of the issues the Board will consider.
