CFB Announces Second General Election Debate for Mayor

New York City’s Official Debate Program for the 2009 elections continues with the Second General Election Debate for Mayor on Tuesday, October 27.

Sponsored by WABC-TV and co-sponsors WXTV Univision 41, 1010 WINS, and the League of Women Voters of the City of New York.

When: Tuesday, October 27, 7:00 P.M.
 
Where: WABC-TV studios, 149 Columbus Avenue (at 67th Street), Manhattan
 
Broadcast info: The debate will be broadcast live on WABC-TV and on 1010 WINS. The debate will stream live on 7online.com. The debate will also be broadcast on WXTV Univision 41 Tuesday, October 27 at 11:00 P.M.
 
Press access: All accredited press will be permitted to watch the debate from designated areas set up outside the debate studio. No reporter or camera will be allowed inside the filming area during the debate. The debate studio will open to reporters and cameras immediately following the debate for interviews with the candidates. The Debate Program, administered by the Campaign Finance Board and sponsored by media and civic organizations selected by the Board, was created to ensure that citizens are provided the opportunity to see candidates running for city-wide office (mayor, public advocate, and comptroller) face each other in non-partisan forums that allow for substantive discussions of campaign issues.
