CFB Votes on Public Funds Payments and Enforcement Matters

At a regularly scheduled meeting today, the New York City Campaign Finance Board voted to issue public funds payments to two candidates who will appear on the general election ballot in Queens City Council District 23 on November 3. The Board approved a payments of $95,005 to Joseph Concannon and a payment of $34,263 to Barry Grodenchik.

This is the first payment by the Board to general election candidates in this district. To date, the Board has paid $629,768 in public matching funds to six different campaigns vying for this seat.

In addition, the Board voted to issue a public funds payment of $8,538 to Jessica Lappin’s 2013 campaign for Manhattan Borough President.

The Board determined enforcement matters for four campaigns involved in the 2013 citywide election cycle. Details of the Board’s determinations are outlined in the charts below.
