During a regularly scheduled meeting today, the Campaign Finance Board made determinations that three campaigns must repay public funds. The Board assessed penalties against one campaign. The Board also approved a post-election payment of $6,955 to the campaign of the late Thomas White, Jr., a candidate for Council District 28 in the 2009 elections. For details, see below.
The Board also held a public hearing to review the new Charter requirement for disclosure of individuals and entities making independent expenditures in New York City elections. The Board will post testimony from those who spoke at the hearing, along with additional written testimony that has been submitted.
