Four candidates in the June 3, 2008 special election in City Council District 30 (Queens) have filed required financial disclosure statements with the Campaign Finance Board as of today. For a complete list of candidates, see below.
This is the second scheduled disclosure filing for the June 3 election. All candidates in the special election, including non-participants, are required by law to provide a detailed report of all financial activity for their campaigns from April 29 to May 19.
Candidates may deliver computer disks to the CFB, submit filings electronically, or send the materials by mail, as long as mailed submissions are postmarked by 11:59 PM May 23. The third scheduled disclosure filing is due June 30, 2008, covering activity from May 20-June 26. More detailed information is available on the campaign finance summary page on the CFB website.
During the two weeks leading up to the election, candidates are required to disclose any contribution or loan in excess of $1,000 or any expenditure greater than $20,000 within 24 hours.
