Today is the last day of the sixteenth and final reporting period for the 2009 citywide elections. All candidates running in the 2009 election, including those who have not chosen to take part in the Campaign Finance Program, will file required disclosure statements of their campaigns’ financial activity from November 27, 2009 through January 11, 2010.
A complete list of 2009 candidates registered to file disclosures with the CFB is available here.
FILING DAY DETAILS
Candidates may deliver statements to the CFB by hand, submit their filings electronically, or send the materials by mail (as long as mailed submissions are postmarked by January 15).
As disclosures are filed on January 15, the CFB will update its website with the latest financial information four times during the day: at 11:00am, 2:00pm, 5:30pm, and once more in the evening. A press advisory will be issued to alert interested parties each time that new information is posted to the website.
Most financial information for campaign filers may be found in two places:
- The CFB’s campaign finance summary page contains summary financial information for all candidates who file with the CFB.
- Detailed information about individual transactions can be found in the CFB’s newly-redesigned searchable online database.
Information on the contribution and spending limits in effect for the 2009 election, as well as the thresholds to be eligible for public funds, can be found here.
