Last week, the Campaign Finance Board released draft guidelines for a framework to provide guidance to candidates in the event legislation to extend term limits was enacted. At the time, the Board requested comment from interested parties in advance of issuing a formal advisory opinion.
With the passage of Int. No. 845-A today, the Board will accept comments on the draft guidelines through Tuesday, October 28. Comments from all interested parties may be submitted via email to info@nyccfb.info, or via mail to Sue Ellen Dodell, General Counsel, New York City Campaign Finance Board, 40 Rector Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10006. After considering public comments, the Board expects to issue its advisory opinion on Monday, November 3.
