1. What is the most important issue in Council District 35 you would address if elected?
When Charles B. Billups is elected he will help make our schools in 35th Council District become competitive with the top schools in the city and state, by fighting to reduce class size, increase school building capital and pay our teachers competitive salaries that reflects the rest of New York State.
Charles will help create housing that is affordable that will gives people a sense of pride in their homes.
Charles will help create job training programs for all individuals to prepare them for employment of all levels and establish outreach programs to work with local businesses to create jobs.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
Charles will help create programs that will reach out to our senior citizens to deal with their concerns and fight to keep all of our senior citizens centers open.
Charles will help reduce crime in our community by working with NYC Police Department to develop preventative methods.
Charles will bring our district and the city together to improve our neighborhood streets and parks.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
Charles B. Billups has been a resident of the 35th Council District for over 30 years and he knows what this district needs to continue its growth and make this Council District fulfill its potential.
