1. What is the most important issue in Council District 44 you would address if elected?

I will continue to make sure this district gets the resources it desperately needs. Year after year we have to make sure our schools get the attention, our parks get renovated, our neighborhood organizations get funded, and our streets stay safe and clean.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

I would fight to create a culture of responsible ticketing in the city. Too often ticket agents pounce when someone is 30 seconds late to move their car, or when the wind blows a candy wrapper onto their property, issuing a ticket to someone who had every intention to abide by the law. Tickets should be issued in order make sure people comply with rules and laws, not to raise revenue for the city.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

I have consistently brought home the resources that this district needs and deserves. My office has been open and I've been available to help countless people in the community with their issues, while seeking legislative solutions to recurring issues, such as limiting the number of hours that Sanitation agents can issue tickets and leading the fight to fine advertisers that throw unwanted fliers on people's property. These are the accomplishments people should come to expect from their elected officials, and the accomplishments I will continue to deliver for the district.
