1. What is the most important issue in Council District 47 you would address if elected?

Over the past 8 years, it has been my honor to represent Bensonhurst, Brighton Beach, Coney Island and Gravesend in the 47th City Council District. When I'm re-elected, I will work toward ensuring that the Coney Island of our dreams becomes a reality. A revitalized Coney Island would bring entertainment, revenue, year-round jobs and affordable housing to the community. While I plan to continue to work hard on issues affecting all of my constituents, I do feel that revitalizing Coney Island will mean great things for the quality of life in South Brooklyn.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

I will continue to fight for money for our schools, so that our children have the tools to compete in a global economy. I will work to keep the libraries open and funded, keep our cultural institutions strong, keep our streets safe and our parks clean. I'll work toward ensuring that our neighborhood's Italian-American cultural institution is built, and will continue to advocate for our seniors and senior centers.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

I have the experience, education, motivation and determination to get the job done. My children attend public school, my wife is a teacher and my mother keeps me apprised on senior issues. I spend my time in my community with my constituents, working hard to solve their problems. Most importantly, I was born and raised in South Brooklyn, and I've dedicated my career to giving back to this wonderful community, which gave me so much as I was growing up.
