Welcome To Your Official New York City Voter Guide Earlier this year, the mayor convened a Charter Revision Commission (CRC) to consider changes to the city’s Charter. The CRC has submitted two ballot questions for New York City voters to decide. This Guide focuses on those potential changes to the Charter and provides nonpartisan information so you can cast an informed vote on November 2nd.
This is an important election year nationwide. Across New York, voters will be electing their US Senators and Representatives, as well as voting for Governor, Comptroller, Attorney General, and state Senators and Assembly members. In addition, many will be voting for judicial candidates. For more information on these federal, state, and judicial contests, please visit the CFB’s Voter Resource Center for links to election information from other organizations covering these races.
In Council District 28 (Queens) there is a nonpartisian special election for Council Member, and there is an uncontested race to elect a Council member in Council District 44.
New Yorkers are voting a new way this year! The Board of Elections has introduced paper ballots that you fill out and insert into a scanning device. Watch a video demonstration of the new voting process at www.votethenewwayny.com.
