2011 General Election Voter Guide

Write-In Voting

For most offices, you may vote for a candidate whose name does not appear on the ballot (a “write-in” candidate). If you want to vote for a candidate who is not listed on the ballot, you must: (1) completely fill in the oval in the area provided for write-in candidates and (2) write or stamp the name of the candidate in that same box. For further information, ask a poll worker or call 866-VOTE-NYC.
