1. What is the most important issue in Council District 2 you would address if elected?
The most important issue in Council District 2 that I would address if elected is the need to develop and maintain decent, affordable and integrated housing for low, moderate and middle-income families. I would also increase funding for Public Housing for better maintenance, modernization and the installation of security cameras in all developments.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
The other important issues that I would address if elected are smaller class sizes and the hiring of more qualified teachers. I would also work to develop an educational program that leaves no parent behind. Since parents are an intricate part of their children’s education, I will seek to promote more accountability and responsibility on their part to provide better guidance to their children.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
I would be the best candidate for this office because I would continue to expand the effort to help to improve and better District 2 in many ways.
For example, I would devote my time to help families who are suffering from the lack of affordable housing,
I would support the special needs for senior citizens and the physically challenged. I would also support and expand free Health Care and free Municipal Hospital Insurance for those New Yorkers who are not insured by their employer. Furthermore, I would develop neighborhood programs, such as, Day Care, Cultural, Community Centers for young adults and Senior Citizen’s Programs.
