1. What is the most important issue in Council District 45 you would address if elected?
The absence of innovative, visionary leadership. I will:
*Establish a Cultural and Technology Center for our youth.
*Establish an Assisted Living Facility for our seniors.
*Continue to work with religious and community leaders to establish a Community Federal Credit Union in Flatbush.
*Holding quarterly “partnership planning and information meetings” with community leaders to bring to the 45th District a more equitable share of the taxes we pay.
The above plan will do more than merely allocate monies to community organizations and health institutions which the City Council representative is normally expected to do. I shall give residents with a reason to vote.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
*Provide more recreational facilities for youth.
*Fight for decent affordable housing:
*Develop a mentoring program for our youth.
*Work tirelessly to provide improved health services, and expand health education in our community.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
My demonstrated leadership qualities evidenced in the vision I have outlined for our community; the confidence and trust placed in me by elected officials who are supporting me in this campaign for change, and my willingness to work with and on behalf of our community to make the 45th District a better place to live.
