1. What is the most important issue in Council District 35 you would address if elected?
I have three: 1.) Economic development 2.) Education 3.) Environment
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
Youth/senior initiatives, affordable housing and green jobs for the community
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
I am the best candidate for this office because I have been a strong consistent advocate and voice for the undeserved of the community for decades. Most importantly I have taken a stand for the community when others who should have been standing and fighting for the community did not. I am a small business owner and community leader who is running for City Council to lead! I believe that the concerns of the 35th Council District are not being adequately represented in our local government. I will put people before politics! We need a leader with high ethical standards who will reach across the district to all to solve our problems instead of dividing the community. Additionally, I want to protect the future of our families in the community that have been around for generations. Moreover, I want to be a part of the new leadership that is forward thinking and I plan to create something that can continue to benefit our community long after my public service is over. I am ready to bring our voices to City Hall to deliver results for Clinton Hill, Forte Greene, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights and Bedford-Stuyvesant communities.
