1. What is the most important issue in the city you would address if elected?
As Mayor my top priority will be expanding the economy and creating jobs. I will put New Yorkers back to work by focusing on economic development in all boroughs, expanding successful industries, identifying new business opportunities and ensuring that all New Yorkers have the professional skills needed to find a well paying job. I will focus on long term solutions that ensure our communities are valued as much as Wall Street.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
There is no greater responsibility for any Mayor than to ensure that every New Yorker from every neighborhood has the opportunity to realize their dreams. As Mayor, I will:
Make New York a more affordable and livable city,
Provide every child with a quality education while respecting the important role of parents and educators,
Ensure that all New Yorkers live in a safe and healthy city,
Improve access to critical social services to help New Yorkers who have fallen on tough times.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
As a lifelong New Yorker I know our City's neighborhoods and the daily challenges facing New Yorkers from all walks of life. As New York City's top financial officer for the last seven years, I have made City government operate smarter and better. I will use my executive experience, fiscal management skills and understanding of the needs of everyday New Yorkers to guide this city forward.
