3 New Members Join NYC Voter Assistance Advisory Committee; Agenda for December 12th Public Meeting & Hearing

The New York City Voter Assistance Advisory Committee (VAAC) is proud to announce the addition of three new members: Joseph C. Borelli, Joan P. Gibbs and Virginia Wong.

Mr. Borelli has been the Chief of Staff to Council Member Vincent Ignizio since 2007. He was appointed by City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn and will serve a five year term. Ms. Gibbs is the General Counsel for the Center for Law and Social Justice at Medgar Evers College. She was appointed by the borough presidents and will serve a four year term. Ms. Wong is the president of the Chinese American Voters Federation. She was appointed by the Comptroller and will serve a three year term. The new members will join VAAC this Monday, December 12 at the Committee's public meeting and post-election hearing. The meeting will begin at 5PM, and will be immediately followed by the public hearing at 5:30PM. The meeting and the hearing will be held at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, Richard Harris Terrace, located at 199 Chambers Street, New York, NY 10007.
