Candidates for March 23 Special Election for City Council File Disclosure Statements with Campaign Finance Board

Four candidates in the March 23, 2010 special election in Council District 44 (Brooklyn) have filed required financial disclosure statements.

This is the last scheduled disclosure statement before the March 23 special election. All candidates in the March 23 special election, including non-participants, are required by law to provide a detailed report of all financial activity for their campaigns covering dates between February 16 and March 8, 2010.

Candidates may deliver statements to the CFB, submit filings electronically, or send the materials by mail, as long as mailed submissions are postmarked by midnight, March 12.

During the fourteen days before the election, candidates must disclose to the CFB any contributions or loans larger than $1,000 and expenditures larger than $20,000 within twenty-four hours. Those disclosures can be found on the CFB website. The next disclosure filing for the March 23 special election is due Monday, April 19, and covers transactions conducted between March 9 and April 15, 2010.
