Following today's meeting, the CFB heard public testimony on proposed rules changes. The rules changes enhance disclosure requirements for candidates and independent expenditure committees, clarify reporting and record-keeping requirements, and strengthen protections against coordination between candidate campaigns and independent expenditure groups. The Board will consider these comments ahead of releasing the final rules changes for adoption later this year.
