Statement from Amy Loprest, Executive Director of the NYC Campaign Finance Board, on the appointment of the state's campaign finance commission:
"I welcome the appointment of a commission tasked with implementing a public matching funds program for New York state. New York City’s landmark public financing program has empowered candidates to run competitive campaigns while relying on small contributions from city residents for more than three decades. The success of the city's program has led to similar reforms across the country. We look forward to working with the commission to offer our insight from administering New York City’s program."
