Tuesday, September 24: NYC Votes Kicks Off National Voter Registration Day In Times Square

NYC Votes and NYPIRG will kick off National Voter Registration Day at 10 a.m. on Tuesday with a press conference and voter registration drive at the Times Square subway station. We will announce dozens of voter registration drives and other events throughout the city to help New Yorkers register to vote ahead of Election Day on November 5th.

National Voter Registration Day is a day of non-partisan volunteer, technology and media efforts to create widespread awareness of voter registration opportunities. A full list of the voter registration events scheduled for National Voter Registration Day in New York City will be available following the event. The deadline to register to vote for the General Election is October 11.

NYC Votes is the non-partisan voter engagement campaign of the New York City Campaign Finance Board (CFB) and its Voter Assistance Advisory Committee (VAAC). In addition to promoting voter registration, participation, and civic engagement in New York City through its many programs and partnerships, NYC Votes sponsors the city's official Debate Program and produces the citywide Voter Guide.
