I've been civically engaged throughout our borough, especially during recovery efforts following Hurricane Sandy, while also founding a non-profit for at risk youth.
Candidate Statement
I was born and raised on the North Shore, and today my wife and I are proud to raise our beautiful daughter here. My parents, who migrated from Guinea, showed me that with hard work and perseverance, you can accomplish your dreams. Unfortunately, that is not a reality for far too many across Staten Island. Unreliable public transportation, overcrowded classrooms, underfunded school systems, rising property taxes, and unaffordable quality health care; something must change!
I’m running for State Assembly because these are the issues that have gone unaddressed since I was a child. I am proud to have won the democratic primary election and look forward to representing the 61st district. We need leaders in Albany who will fight for our community and for our future. I’m ready for that fight.
