Candidate Statement
Senator Comrie believes that government must be responsive to all people. His office is the conduit through which access to information on quality education, healthcare, and services for seniors; programs for youth; avenues to enhance small business growth; increased public safety measures; sustainable economic development; and living wage jobs in the community is provided.
As a Councilman, his positive impact in government is evident from his long record of legislative accomplishments such as increasing tax and property exemptions for seniors, instituting the city’s first foreclosure prevention program, and curtailing “pay-day” loans. He has continued his efforts in the NYS Senate, passing into law bills that protect consumers, homeowners, small businesses, and people across the entire great state of New York.
Senator Comrie's office is open on select evenings and weekends to provide access to resources and help for community residents. Contact: 718-765-6359 comrie@nysenate.gov
