Candidate Statement
It's been an honor to serve as your State Senator for the last six years. I'm running for re-election to continue to fight for progressive legislation, protect the most vulnerable in our community and bring accountability and transparency to state government.
We must pass laws to:
*protect a woman's right to choose
*enact voting, ethics and campaign finance reform
*safeguard LGBTQ New Yorkers
*fight climate change
*strengthen workers' rights
*pass the Child Victims Act
*fully fund public education
*enact Congestion Pricing & fund the MTA
*stop gun violence
*support our arts and culture
Practically only thing that stands between New Yorkers and Donald Trump is the State Legislature in Albany. I'm looking forward to being part of a new Democratic majority in the State Senate that takes this challenge head-on.
