Edwin O. Ortiz, Jr.,
has a proven record of community involvement and
accomplishments that makes him the superior candidate
to represent the communities of Fordham-Bedford,
Belmont, East Tremont, West Farms, Bronx Park South,
Crotona Park North and Bathgate in the New York
City Council. Edwin Ortiz Jr.’s entire life has
been spent in public service and has been dedicated
to working to improve the lives of others as it
relates to housing and tenants’ rights, youth empowerment,
HIV/AIDS prevention and education, and in the war
against illegal drugs.
Edwin O. Ortiz, Jr., is the Founder and Executive
Director of the non-profit organization Young Adults
Against Drugs and Alcohol, Inc. In that capacity
Edwin Ortiz, Jr., has raised over $7000,000 dollars
for HIV/AIDS services and youth programs. Working
with government agencies and community groups, Edwin
O. Ortiz Jr., successfully fought to expand and
preserve local housing, including an occupied 87-unit
building located at 795 Garden Street.
As CEO of Ortiz & Associates, Edwin O. Ortiz, Jr.,
continues to advocate on behalf of the persons in
need of assistance obtaining social services and
navigating government’s beuraracy.
Edwin O. Ortiz, Jr., pledges to work tirelessly
in the City Council to ensure that the 15th Councilmanic
District receives its fair share of services. Edwin
O. Ortiz, Jr. is supported in this bid for City
Council by such leaders as State Senator Pedro Espada
and Councilman Pedro G. Espada. Edwin O. Ortiz,
Jr., also has the support of the Bronx Independence
Party and the Bronx Conservative Party.
