I left Poland twelve years ago after
having experienced life in a communist society.
My family was very active in the Solidarity movement
and they taught me to fight for real reform in
government. I chose to emigrate to the United
States to pursue life in a free society with opportunities
for all in a true democracy. I learned English,
earned graduate and undergraduate degrees with
the highest honors and established a very successful
business. At the same time I have given back to
society through my volunteer activities.
I am running for office because I believe it’s
time we have real dedication and service from
a qualified person. This society is known throughout
the world as one which does not reward people
“who’s turn it is”, or who have been
loyal to a group, but as one which elects those
most qualified.
My academic qualifications will
help me reform the criminal justice and educational
system of the city. My business background has
prepared me to negotiate in order to acquire necessary
funding and services. My integrity and commitment
to a true democracy will ensure that I am fully
accountable and accessible to every resident and
not to special interests or back-room deals.
I am the only candidate in this
race with an extensive education and business
experience. I am the only candidate who has managed
multi-million dollar budgets. I am the only candidate
not indebted to others. I am the most highly qualified
and the most dedicated. When I’m elected, I’ll
serve this community and city with all of my energies.
Free from obligations to others, I truly am the
people’s choice.
