| One can only imagine
and yearn for a City where government is open to
the public, where the needs and wants of the people
of communities are of utmost priority in the planning
process, where we plan and manage with forward thinking
initiatives, where we preserve and respect our natural
resources, where we are finally ahead of the curve
in school construction and infrastructure, and where
health insurance and quality health care is available
to all residents of New York City.
I am both privileged and honored to have received
the endorsement of four political parties. I accept
these endorsements as a mandate for change. As
your leader, as an elected official, sworn to
serve my constituencies I will govern to make
the City inclusive of all, to make it a place
where opportunity to prosper, to learn and to
live in a healthy environment is no longer a privilege-
but a right.
