Bronx politicians have taken your Democratic vote for granted. They manipulate the primary elections and give you substandard candidates like their sons, daughters, and relatives. They suppress and corrupt the nomination process for any other Democrat. Years of nepotism and incompetence in the Bronx has caused the highest unemployment rate, and the least amount of private sector jobs. We’ve never received our Campaign for Fiscal Equity educational funding, so our children get the lowest reading scores. Their sons and daughters voted to increase sales tax, income tax, and raised ticket penalties. They voted to raise property real estate taxes and that will increase our rental fees. They have destroyed small businesses because they don’t understand economic development. They don’t understand commitment, or leadership. They don’t understand our community. These Politicos don’t even live here! Poor people have suffered the consequences of poor leadership. It is time to raise your voices.
Vote “Yes” to Non-Partisan Municipal elections, because intelligent, competent, caring neighborhood activists will finally have the opportunity to be your candidate.
Luana (Malavolta) Rodriguez, is a very qualified candidate. She made a real commitment to be a life long community leader, homeowner and small business owner in this district. Fighting against ticketing agencies that raise revenues on our backs, and having the courage to vote “No” to property and sales tax increases, is real leadership. Hard working families need safety and education for our children. So productive services, like after school programs and head start, along with computer employment resources for our youth, will be negotiated for our district. Creating Smart Buildings will make us E-Commerce competitive. Technology growth and development will attract many private sector jobs. Luana can make our neighborhood family friendly, and she will navigate a better quality of life from the Council. That takes real integrity.
