1. What is the most important issue in Council District 19 you would address if elected?
The voters of Northeast Queens deserve leadership and honesty in City Hall. Our city government has been taken over by lobbyist and special interest and is in need of reform. Reform can only come from an independent voice. I will be that independent voice and exercise fiscal discipline against wasteful government spending plus reduce the tax burden on working men and women of our city. I will be an independent and sound voice in the "rubber stamping" City Council dominated by one party.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
I will demand the highest standards in our education system for our children. Our children must be able to walk to their neighborhood school, instead of being bused to distant schools, a cost of $3,600 per student. This money can be better spend on the quality of education for our students. "Neighborhood Schools for Neighborhood Children". I will also protect our community from overdevelopment by eliminating the loopholes in the Zoning Resolution and the NYC Building code. I will look after each homeowner’s largest investment (their home) instead of giving their property rights to city bureaucrats.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
Unlike my opponent, who has spend his entire career collecting his salary from taxpayer funds, I have been working for a living and understand the tax burden imposed on the hardworking men and women plus the small-business owners in our city. I will be an independent and sound voice in the "rubber stamping" City Council dominated by the Democrat Party.
