1. What is the most important issue in the city you would address if elected?
As a Libertarian, I believe all New Yorkers should be free to fulfill their own highest potential, make their own decisions, take their own risks, and benefit from their own hard work. We can unlock New York’s vast economic potential – for everyone – but to do that we must stop scrambling from deficit to deficit and reduce destructive regulations and taxes. We must end the sweetheart deals made in the backrooms in Washington, Albany and City Hall. New York City’s economy is for everyone, not just politicians, bureaucrats and special interests.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
Education is crucial to a prosperous, successful city. We need a complete turnaround, including school choice, excellent pay for excellent teachers, large reductions in bureaucracy and comprehensive measurement of results.
Housing – Remove regulatory obstacles and reduce taxes that drive up prices. We must also respect property rights and end the use of eminent domain for the benefit of a few wealthy friends of the politicians.
New Yorkers can make their own lifestyle choices. We must end lifestyle regulation such as marriage restrictions, smoking bans, cabaret laws and restrictions on alternate forms of transportation.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
I am not politician. I run a business that creates jobs, turns a profit and brings money into our city.
I’ve helped some of the largest companies in the world to improve their financial planning, control and accountability. I can do it for New York.
Do you believe the politicians know what’s best for you or do you believe you should be free to make your own decisions about your business, your school, your charities and your lifestyle?
Believe in yourself. Believe in freedom.
