1. What is the most important issue in Council District 40 you would address if elected?

I would like to tackle the problems within the public educational system (at all levels). I have many creative ideas for resolving some of the issues facing us in this area.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

The high cost of living in NYC for average New Yorkers is shameful. I would like to open up more funding sources/streams for our city's coffers, and also offer a permanent rebate for renters through legislation making it permanent in the tax code. I would like to create unique programs for our youth and seniors so that their quality of life issues would be better addressed (especially joblessness amongst our minority youth).

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

My experience in politics; my lengthy record in community activism, public service, social and cultural interaction; plus my ability to both articulate the issues facing this district and frame policy solutions on a high level. I believe that I am better equipped to lead this district in the city council because of my broad knowledge of the issues we face, and also because of my overall development which was many years in the making. I bring to the table a wealth of sources and resources developed over 35 years in New York's rough and tumble political world.
