Campaign Finance Board Votes on Violations and Penalties and Repayment Obligations

At a regularly scheduled meeting today, the New York City Campaign Finance Board determined that four campaigns from the 2013 election cycle committed violations and must pay penalties.

The Board determined that two campaigns must repay public funds received based on a balance remaining in their campaign bank account. These two campaigns completed the CFB’s audit process without any findings of violations or penalties. To date, the CFB has finalized full audit reviews for 19 campaigns in the 2013 election cycle and 10 of those campaigns completed the process without having any violations or penalties imposed by the Board.
