Candidate Statement

I want to make New York's marijuana laws like those of Colorado and Washington state and return the money saved to its rightful owners, the taxpayers, by reducing the rate of sales tax in New York.

Too many innocent people are convicted in New York. I want to eliminate the criminal immunity now enjoyed by district attorneys and police and make them liable for felonious acts just like any other accused criminal.

I will oppose all proposals that will increase the cost of housing in New York.

I believe New Yorkers can have more health and less health care--fewer doctor visits, less medication, fewer hospital procedures, and I think there is something we can do it about it in Albany. The FDA now prohibits the dissemination of truthful health information without its expensive and time-consuming approval. I propose to end that prohibition in New York.
