As your next council member, I would
implement my platform which would include the use
of vouchers and educational tax credits for
parents to send their children either to public,
charter, private or religious schools. I believe
reform and innovation are needed in our school
system not just to infuse the system with more
money without any accountability.
I believe in infusing the social policy of society
with traditional Judeo- Christian- Moslem beliefs
and ideals.
As your next councilman, I want to work with all
the diverse ethnic groups in the district(
Russian, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Yiddish,
Hebrew, Arabic, etc...) to meet their needs. My
administration would be all inclusive and I would
hire staff who could handle constituent complaints
in their native languages.
I want to support policies that would help the
varied and diverse ethnic groups in the district.
This would include seeking greater government
subsidies in areas such as food stamps, housing
subsidies for the poor and middle class, looser
immigration policies for family members who are
citizens abroad, Medicaid, Medicare, health care
for the under-insured or un-insured, subsidies for
prescription drugs for the elderly, poor and
immigrants in our district and throughout the
city.
I believe in law and order, having a strong police
force. However, I would temper that tendency with
a respect by the police for the dignity and
respect of every person of every ethnic and racial
group in the district and city. I believe in
working together.
As a councilman, I would promote workfare, try to
lower taxes (not raise them) support
privatization, lower taxes for businesses, create
economic expansion zones for more jobs, and growth
in the economy, and make the environment in the
district and city conducive for the private sector
to thrive and expand.
