I enter the political arena this year in the hopes of bringing reform to our city government. NYC is in crisis today and our present city council is not prepared to make the changes required to get us back on track.
The Upper West Side, like most areas of NYC, has voted for Democratic candidates who only stand for the status-quo. If we want to help our city recover, it's time for New Yorkers to reconsider who they are voting for.
Our city's budget is too large. Much of the city's 45 billion dollar budget is wasted by the inefficient and ineffective way our government functions. I will work hard to change that so every tax dollar is spent responsibly.
As an Urban Republican I believe that reductions in taxes and government spending do not need to come at the expense of the most needy in our city. With proper oversight, city government can "do more for less" and enable tax reductions that are essential to the future growth of our city's economy.
While living for almost 10 years on the Upper West Side and being a member of the 24th precinct's Auxiliary Police, I understand the issues facing our neighborhood. With that in mind, I ask for your support.
