As your City Council Representative, Keisha C. Morrisey would make sure that the voice of the people in the 9th Council District is heard. She would make leadership, accountability and responsiveness the guiding principal of her office.
Keisha was born and raised in Harlem and she has a deep commitment to the community; to the growth of business, the development of the community, to the issues concerning youth and the quality of life overall. As mother of a pre-teen age son and wife these issues are very dear to her. With her unique background in business, Keisha possesses the ability to unite a cross mixture of cultures and economic groups working together for the same goal of redevelopment and security in Harlem.
As your representative for City Council, Keisha will press for: The development of business in Harlem which will in turn provide jobs and Security for its residents and small business owners, Improving the transportation infrastructure, Giving parents a greater control over their children’s education, Protecting the needs and quality care for the community, The community working with the NYPD to end police brutality and harassment, The overall environment and quality of life to be improved.
