You, the voter, hires and pay the members of the City Council. This is my resume for your consideration. Let me, represent your interest in City Hall. I will not let you or your family down.
I’m a family man with three children that attend NYC public schools. A retired school teacher with years of experience; living and working in districts 7 & 9. Our families have been cheated by unfair taxes, fines, and countless service cuts. Unfair fare increases in buses, subways and bridge tolls, show that our Councilmen have become uncaring and weak. They have ignored the well being of our families.
The officials you elected, have forgotten that they represent your community. They are more concerned in getting their sons and daughters political jobs. Family wealth and power are more important to them than our problems. Tax payers should not pay for poor leadership.
My candidacy is based on a No New Tax platform. I am opposed to having the working poor foot the bill for bad legislation and the poor use of our tax dollars. Fines for parking, quality of life issues like sitting on milk-crates, and “abuse of power” rules have to be Reasonable; Not Punitive!. I plan to correct these abuses from City Hall.
No cuts to education, no cuts to medical services for our elderly or young, and the lowering of college tuition for young adults are important goals of my campaign. If we limit our children’s ability to get a good education, we limit their power to get out of poverty. There are too many bad programs, paid by tax payers, that are useless. They must be replaced.
I’m a Rising Voice candidate. I pledge that I will represent you, and your family, much better than the current councilman. For too long our community has been condemned to poor representation and poor leadership. Your vote is needed for a positive change.
