1. What is the most important issue in Council District 9 you would address if elected?
Affordable housing, brownstone renovation taxes, lack of available apartment housing, lack of job opportunity, improved education safer school environment, after school programs, youth violence, and healthcare.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
Community involvement has afforded me the opportunity to recognize a lack of equitable participation and representation of community residents at the community board. This is not in the best interest of the community. I would change the current structure of the Community Board to a structure that would allow for a more diverse and accountable Community Board.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
The community should judge my performance and other permormance measures as critical components of individual success and ultimately community development I pledge to develop accountability standards that would enable accurate evaluation of my performance. My experience as an organizer, a proven organizational leader, and community leader coupled with more than 30 years of successful business leadership makes me a candidate who is not reluctant or afraid to say "make me accountable." These qualities make me the best candidate for leadership.
