1. What is the most important issue in Council District 49 you would address if elected?

In these uncertain economic times, it is critical that Staten Islanders do not lose their jobs and become priced out of their communities. Ensuring Staten Islanders have access to high quality jobs by reducing our tax burden and establishing economic development initiatives to improve Staten Island's infrastructure is my top priority.

Furthermore, ensuring that middle class families can continue to call Staten Island home and the overall improvement of North Shore residents' quality of life are main components of an economically healthy and vibrant Staten Island.

2. What other important issues would you address if elected?

Protecting our children and seniors are of utmost concern to me. Fully funding our schools and reducing class sizes are vitally important. As the husband of a school teacher, I know firsthand the importance of strengthening our education system.

Keeping our senior centers open is also important. In tough economic times it is crucial that our seniors have access to the best services available.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?

I am a third generation Staten Islander, and a lifelong North Shore resident. I have been deeply involved in my community for my entire life, having served on Staten Island Community Board 1 as well as many other community and civic organizations. I am proud to have the endorsement of Congressman Michael McMahon, State Senator Diane Savino and Assembly Members Janele Hyer-Spencer, Michael Cusick and Matt Titone.
