BUDGET REFORM: No developer money in the political process. End Council slush funds. Create transparency: we should see how our money is spent.
2. What other important issues would you address if elected?
People must be able to stay in their neighborhoods. Small businesses need support, NOT harassment. Development must be responsible and community-led. Assemblyman Jim Brennan supports Josh Skaller. Our city must lead in environmental sustainability, renewable energy, green jobs. Howard Dean supports Josh Skaller. Implement the Superfund designation of the Gowanus Canal. Do not trust developers to run cleanups. CG CORD supports Josh Skaller. Change mayoral control of education. We need more teaching and less testing, more arts, music and science. Parents must have a meaningful voice. Congressman Major Owens supports Josh Skaller. Transportation: the City Council must appoint MTA Board members to protect us. Senator Eric Adams supports Josh Skaller.
3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?
Private sector, results-oriented experience. I bring years of problem solving skills and technological innovation to the Council.
Independence. I do not take money from developers and lobbyists.
Proven track record of reform. I've spent my life working to make government more responsive.
